Introducing…The Busy Mummy

The first blogger we’re introducing you to on Maxitone is Katie of Katie and The Kids – known to us as The Busy Mummy! Like a lot of mums, Katie’s working out the best way to fit in a healthy lifestyle around looking after her children and running her fab blog: here’s her story.

Here we are, smack bang into a new year, full of resolutions & get fit ideas. I started 2012 with the intention to finally get my head around a healthy lifestyle, rather than just a quick fix. Something that I will be able to, and more importantly, want to, maintain long after the resolutions have been dumped and removed from memories.

My head & body always seem to be on different pages. I know what I should be doing, and yet I’m not doing it! Over the last 10 years my diet has changed radically: I used to be the type of person who didn’t care what they ate, and back then it didn’t really affect my figure. Two children and a decade later however, I need to work at it. I want to be healthy & find something that works for me.

The Maxitone fitness plan has come at exactly the right time. I’m hoping that by taking advantage of the expert advice, following the plan & curbing the cravings for rubbish, it will all start to come together. (I also need to get over my ridiculous fear that when I start a new exercise plan, people are looking at me. They’re not!)

Corny as it sounds, the inspiration behind this new me, new lifestyle, is my 9 year old daughter. By setting a good example to her, she will hopefully grow up knowing how to be healthy without it being a struggle. I’d also quite like to get that old, confident me back.

Don’t get me wrong – I’m not saying I’ll be running marathons at the end of this, but I do think it’s going to be a massive push in the right direction, and I can’t wait.

Bring. It. On.

We love a woman with confidence, and we’re sure that Katie is going to be able to make the most of our Maxitone lifestyle change. Wanting to set a good example for your children is a great way to reassess your eating and exercise habits, and it sounds like Katie’s daughter is already inspiring her to do better! So today we’re asking – who’s your inspiration? If you’re a mum, what impact have your children had on your health and exercise regimes, and how have you made positive changes to help them learn about living a healthy, happy life?

Best of luck Katie. I love Maxitone products and the Definity shake is great for helping me curb the cravings and for recovery after workouts :-)
